The Mandalorian Armor, book one of the Bounty Hunter Wars, reintroduces
old favourites, including Denger, the unforgetable Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine,
Prince Xizor, Boba Fett (everyone’s favourite Bounty Hunter), and many
other faces new and old.
In this first book of the series, Boba Fett faces a daring and deadly challenge.
An old foe causes problems as Boba Fett races to finish first in this game.
Anything less than first would be death to him and his efforts. Coming in first,
however, is not easy with the likes of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine overseeing
every little activity the Galaxy.
It's not long before Boba Fett realizes that in this game, the odds are stacked
against him and someone is placing him in a seemingly inescapable position.
The Bounty Hunter finds himself the target of criminal conspracies and the mercy
of the darkened evil of the Empire itself.
I found that this book left a lot to be desired from the Star Wars Universe.
In some parts to this book, we find Boba Fett, the most feared Bounty Hunter
there is, listen to people yak on and on for pages and pages before he actually
does something and even then it lacks that spark that has always been Boba Fett.
The Kuat of Kuat storyline in this book is very boring and dull—I had to
skip that part altogether so I did miss out a huge chunk of the book.
On a more positive note, the book does have some good Bounty Hunter scenes
with Denger, Boba and Borsk. It might be the weakest book of the whole Star
Wars novel series but it's still worth a read, especially if you’re
going to go on and read the remaining Bounty Hunter Wars books.
Happy Reading—and May The Force Be With You!
