Skeletons from the Closet is a wonderful collection of timeless classics from this well-renowned band.
From “The Golden Road” to “Friend of the Devil” almost every track is upbeat. This work is rich with skillful musicianship and lovely vocal harmonies. The lyrics are pretty and delightfully poetic.
One of my favorite tracks here is “Sugar Magnolia,” a sweet, rollicking and extremely danceable ditty. “Uncle John’s Band” is catchy with great vocal harmonies and excellent guitar stylings. “Mexicali Blues” is particularly energetic with fantastic keyboard and trumpet work. “Turn on Your Love Light” features some kickin’ drum solos. “One More Saturday Night” has bluesy undertones and absolutely wailing keyboard stylings.
Whether you’re a hardcore deadhead
or just a casual listener, it’s difficult to not love this disc. This is pure, sweet comfort music and a perfect addition to your Halloween party selection.
