Arson Gone Wrong
Originally reported by United Press International
Kentucky police released video of a bungling arsonist whose Molotov cocktail ricocheted and lit him on fire.
The video shows two suspects, a man and a woman, outside the building in a white Ford minivan. The woman shatters a back window of the business, and the man emerges from the van holding a lit Molotov cocktail and throws it through the window.
The man attempts to repeat his actions with a second Molotov cocktail, but the bottle misses the window and splashes the man with flaming liquid. The suspect then sprints across the parking lot to some nearby grass, where he rolls on the ground to put out the flames. The man exits the view of the camera and returns moments later missing a shoe. He takes off a burning sock as he heads back toward the van.
Police said they are hoping members of the public will be able to identify the suspects from the video.
Look for the shoeless.
No More Pizza Delivery for Randy
Originally reported by Houston Chronicle
After making numerous fraudulent calls to restaurants, a Florida man is prohibited from ordering pizza. Randy Riddle, 49, of Sebastian is charged with four counts of harassing phone calls, two counts of first-degree petty theft, and one count of second-degree petty theft, according to the TC Palm.
The newspaper reports that Riddle made numerous calls to various pizza places in June and refused to pay for the orders. According to TC Palm, Riddle would make the calls for delivery to vacant or fake addresses. When he did get pizza, he would call businesses to complain about the quality. The businesses told investigators that they lost at least $667 in unpaid pizzas, according to the newspaper.
TC Palm reports that Riddle’s affidavit states, “Defendant shall refrain from calling any pizza establishment and/or making any harassing calls or his bond shall be revoked.” Riddle was arrested Aug. 1. He posted $5,500 bail out of the Indian River County Jail.

Impounded
Originally reported by Yahoo! News
Police say a drunken driving suspect who was upset that his vehicle was still impounded a week after his arrest threw pizza and punches at a Pennsylvania police station.
Police in the tiny borough of Dallas say that 44-year-old Sean Mulloy showed up on Thursday and began wrapping a chain around the railing outside the police station. He also had a statue and a full box of pizza with him.
Authorities say that when the patrolman who arrested Mulloy last week confronted him at the station, Mulloy started throwing punches and pizza and had to be subdued with a stun gun.
Mulloy is charged with aggravated and simple assault and resisting arrest. He remained in the Luzerne County jail Friday awaiting a preliminary hearing. He doesn’t yet have an attorney.
Courthouse sources said that the statue and the full box of pizza are Mulloy’s standard cruising equipment.

Police executed a search warrant at the home on May 17. They said they did not release the report to the public until August because it took that long for detectives to finish the report.
