Just Another Saturday Night
Originally reported by Fox News
A Florida man’s adventure after a “falling out” with his girlfriend made for one unforgettable Saturday night at Tampa’s Peter O. Knight Airport.
Drew Bronnenberg, 28, is accused of stripping down to his blue shorts, attempting to steal two planes before giving up, and taking a joy ride in a golf cart and airport fuel truck before crashing into a building, FOX13 reported on Tuesday.
“He had some sort of a falling out with his girlfriend and just started walking,” Tampa police department spokesman Steve Hegarty said.
Bronnenberg was at the 2018 Gasparilla Pirate Festival in Tampa when he left, walked several miles to the airport, and took off his clothes, aside for his blue shorts. He then hopped a fence to enter the airport, pulled a single-engine plane out of the hanger, and attempted to get it up in the air. But Bronnenberg, who doesn’t have a pilot’s license, hit a roadblock when he couldn’t get the plane to start.
Otherwise a brilliant plan.

Missing Skier Story of the Week

Police were trying to piece together how a 49-year-old skier, whose disappearance sparked a massive search on a snowy New York mountainside, ended up six days later in California, confused and still in ski clothes.
Toronto firefighter Constantinos “Danny” Filippidis told investigators he doesn’t know what happened after he was reported missing Wednesday, Feb. 7, from Whiteface Mountain during an annual ski trip with colleagues. The search ended Tuesday when Filippidis turned up in Sacramento, California, some 2,500 miles west of the Adirondacks.
Frank Ramagnan, president of the Toronto Professional Firefighters’ Association, told reporters at a news conference Tuesday evening that Filippidis appeared to be “confused and was unable to give direct answers.”
Filippidis told deputies he remembered little, but thought he’d suffered a head injury, rode in a “big rig-style truck” and slept “a lot,” Sgt. Shaun Hampton of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department told the Post-Standard of Syracuse.
Filippidis said he bought an iPhone to call his wife and told deputies that a truck dropped him off in downtown Sacramento, where he got a haircut, Hampton said.
Well, at least he could tell his wife he remembered to get a haircut.
Just a Scam

A Maryland woman who claimed to be a psychic has been convicted of scamming people — again.
WRC-TV reports that Gina Marie Marks, who worked under the name Natalie Miller, pleaded guilty Friday to multiple counts of felony theft for stealing $340,000 from five people who sought help with their troubles.
Marks said on Friday in court that she would return all the payments she received but maintained that her services are real. Police learned of Marks in 2016 when a woman paid Marks for love spells but got suspicious when the charges began approaching $80,000.
According to a widely accepted authority (the Internet) you can get a good love spell for way under $80,000.
