Hollywood Romance: Who’s On, Who’s Off?

Having a hard time keeping track of who’s on and who’s off in Hollywood these days?  I can’t blame you.  So here’s the quick and painless Cliffs Notes update:

OFF:

• Pam Anderson and her most recent husband, Rick Salomon.  The marriage (which, basically, lasted from sometime in October until sometime in December) was officially annulled yesterday–the reason being the ever-intriguing “fraud.”
• Johnny Knoxville and wife of 11 years, Melanie Lynn.  My question: What took her so long?
• Carrie Underwood and Gossip Guy Chace Crawford.  Also off.

ON:

• Kate and Owen.  On-again-off-again Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson spent Easter weekend together in Florida, where he’s currently hard at work.  All I can say is that I hope Owen shared his Easter bunny with Kate, or this one could very well be off again by next weekend.
• Jamie Lynn and Casey.  People is reporting that expecting mum and Britney-in-training Jamie Lynn Spears has been running around showing off a sparkly new diamond–and that she and reluctant baby daddy Casey Aldridge are gettin’ hitched.
• Britney and America.  When Ms. Spears decides to make [yet another] comeback, America sets its collective TiVos.  Though I chose to blow off Brit’s latest comeback attempt (because when I found myself irritated by someone as a kid, my mom always told me, “Just ignore her, and she’ll go away”–but, sadly, Brit doesn’t seem to be taking the hint), CBS’s How I Met Your Mother is reporting that last night’s episode brought the show its highest ratings ever.  

That’s it for now–but be sure to come back again tomorrow, when Pam and Rick get remarried in Vegas and Brit once again does something wacky to outrage everyone who appreciates good taste and good parenting.
