The Daredevil soundtrack is one of the most anticipated soundtracks of the year, which can also be said for the movie. It delivers the same depth as the fantastic film, which stars Ben Affleck. You get to hear plenty of the music in the film, which really does encourage you to want to own this CD.
This long-awaited release is jam packed with 20 tracks of super-charged music. The film’s energized theme tune by Graeme Revell and Mike Einziger (Incubus) is track 16, I suggest you listen to that one first and get the Daredevil fever out of your system.
Every track on this CD features new music from each artist. This gives you a chance to sample each artist’s new music before they release their next album. Each track offers the distinct sounds of the various bands. You’ll know exactly what band you’re listening — exactly what you look for in a soundtrack from a smash hit movie.
The only issue with the soundtrack is that it is missing a great song that appeared in the movie. It was played in the scene when the Kingpin was first introduced to the audience. I wish I knew who played the song. It was really good.
So is this worth the price? Yes! It provides as much enjoyment as the film does. However, if you’re a hard rock fan, I think the downside you could find is Evanescence’s track (Track 17). While their first track of the CD, “Bring Me to Life,” is a rock song and fits with the rest of the CD, their second song, “My Immortal,” is a little out of place with its gentle ambiance approach. You might find yourself skipping that one.
So if you haven’t yet done so, see the film and buy the soundtrack. Go on — I dare you.
